About Us

We study how social emotions (particularly social exclusion and empathy) shape human behavior, perception, and cognitive functions during development. Since adolescence is a developmental period in which important changes occur in social and affective processing, the main focus of our research is on this developmental period. Our approach integrates cognitive neuroscience, social and experimental psychology. We use a range of methods including behavioral experiments, electrophysiological encephalography, and physiological measures (e.g. heart rate, skin conductance, etc.)
